Elizabeth Jardina is a friend to chickens and a former vegetarian. Yes, she thinks you can be both. As a researcher at Sunset, she's interested in almost
everything, including, but not limited to: tomatoes, chickens, sweet peas, solving knotty problems, factual accuracy, and caramels made with fleur de sel. A native Texan, she
now lives in San Mateo in Merv Griffin's childhood home.

Johanna Silver never said the word, "agriculture" out loud until she was 21, traveled the world, and saw how most people work. She now says it several times a week,
almost always proceeded by the word, "sustainable." She has grown food in her hometown of Denver, CO and Marin County, CA. While she humors herself with a few chard
plants in pots outside of her San Francisco flat, she relishes most the time she spends growing (edibles and ornamentals) and learning in the Sunset Test Garden.

Margaret Sloan grew up not far from Sunset magazine, and learned to garden from the Sunset Western Garden Book, which ushered in a career in
horticulture. She then moved to tropical Mexico and for 3 years battled an amazing range of insects wishing to live inside her house. Now a production coordinator for
Sunset, Margaret researches story information, squares up the page designs, and makes sure all the photos print correctly. Blogging for Team Bee is a fun
extracurricular project. When not thinking about bees or the magazine, Margaret is typically at home painting or playing music.

Margo True is the food editor at Sunset Magazine, and nothing makes her happier than exploring the world of food—on the farm, in the kitchen, and all points in
between and beyond. Before Sunset, she was executive editor at Saveur magazine, and before that, a senior editor and writer at Gourmet. Margo grew up in six
different countries and loves the way that food expresses culture and place. She is perpetually eager to try odd new ingredients, and there isn't much she won't eat if it's well
prepared—except Big Red cola, sea cucumbers, or gloppy sweet-potato Thanskgiving casseroles with marsmallows on top. As for food trends, Margo picks up on the ones that
have both spark and staying power. Her biggest wish right now is to have a little Jersey cow.
